The C.Scope MXL4-D underground pipe, cable, and service locator is a system capable of detecting and tracing:

The C.Scope MXL4-D pipe and cable locator features automatic interference rejection and four search modes:

1. Power (50Hz – 400Hz): Detects active electrical cables up to 3 meters.
2. Radio (10kHz – 30kHz): Identifies metallic pipes and cables up to 2 meters.
3. Generator (33kHz + 131kHz dual frequency; 33kHz; 131kHz; 8kHz; 512kHz / 640kHz): Used with an external signal transmitter.
4. Allscan (50Hz – 33kHz): Extends detection range up to 3 meters.

When combined with the C23T camera, MXT4-D transmitter, or probes, the device significantly improves detection accuracy, even in areas with high electrical interference.

Can fiber optic cables be detected?

Since fiber optic cables are made of plastic, they cannot be detected directly. However, they are usually accompanied by a metallic tracer wire, which allows them to be located.
